Hey everyone,
This weekend, Shawn is running a half marathon in DC. It's starting at Mt. Vernon, George Washington's house.....

Then running along the George Washington Parkway along the Potomac up along the newly constructed Woodrow Wilson Bridge on the DC beltway/I95.

This is the crazy bridge that is a DRAWBRIDGE on a major interstate highway. There is a 14ft pedestrian path we'll run along and finally end up at the new National Harbor area. We are staying there at the Gaylord National (where the Lowes saw the ICE show.)

The race is on Sunday but on Saturday, we are seeing a Cirque Du Soleil show there too. They are putting up a big tent in the parking lot.......

We are seeing the new show OVO, which has a bug theme......

We're really excited for the weekend including the race. The medal is shown at the top of the page. You may wonder what the creepy hand is holding the new bridge. It's a famous sculpture that has been recently moved to the National Harbor area. It's called The Awakening......

Pretty cool sculpture and now the medal makes sense. Look for pictures this weekend here on the blog!!
Love,
Uncle Shawn & Uncle Ted
