Did you know what Disney/Pixar's movie is for 2009? It's called "Up" and will be released next May. In the movie, Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. "Up" takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures. When seeking adventure next summer — look "Up."

Disney/Pixar has announced an ambitious slate of 13 new animated feature films, most of which will be featured in 3D over the next few years. As has been the case recently, Disney will be releasing two major animated movies per year - one Pixar and one Disney. Starting in 2009, however, we'll be treated to 2 Pixar movies per year: 3D versions of Toy Story (in '09) and Toy Story 2 (in '10) as well as Up (in '09) and Toy Story 3 (in '10) and Newt and The Bear and the Bow (in '11). In addition, Pixar also announced a new movie - Newt - for 2011. Disney also has a promising line-up of their own, including an adaptation of a Philip K. Dick story titled King of the Elves.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2

Hey kids,

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!!! High School Musical 2 premeires on the Disney Channel at 8PM. If it's too late to stay up, have your mom or dad record it........or watch it this weekend when they replay it a million times I'm sure.

We have not seen the first movie, so we'll have to watch that first. Looks like a lot of fun. I know Eric had fun in his High School Musical show.

SPIDER PIG SONG

Hey kids,

Mr. Ted and I went and saw the Simpsons Movie today. At the end of the movie while the credits were playing, they had the Spider Pig song playing but sung like an opera. You can hear it playing now.

Thought all you Spider Pig fans out there would like it.

SPIDERMAN 3 MOVIE TRAILER

Hey kids,

Not sure how many of you have seen any of the first 2 Spiderman movies or not, but the 3rd one comes out May 4 and here is a sneak peek at the new movie.

In Spiderman 3, his suit changes, turning jet-black and makes his powers stronger, but it also brings out the dark side in Peter Parker. Forced to decide between his new strength and being good, this is Spiderman's biggest battle yet!!

STAR WARS 30th ANNIVERSARY

Hi kids,

I bet your mom and dad can't believe it has been 30 years since the original Star Wars movie came out. This year will be full of Star Wars celebrations. The first group to celebrate is the postal office. Below you will find a picture of a mailbox we saw in California. Can you tell what it is?

There will be more of these mailboxes popping up around the country so keep your eyes open for them.

The postal service will also release a new Star Wars stamp later this year but you have to vote for your favorite. Get your mom or dad to help you since you will need an email address. Click here to go to the postal service website to vote. I voted for C3PO.
