OUTSTANDING IN THE FIELD

Video clip from our evening with Outstanding in the Field. This program travels from farm to farm across the US and sets up "the table" in the middle of fields, on the beach and other venues. As you can see, we were in the middle of a field over looking Tim Stark's heirloom tomato farm. He delivers tomatoes to NYC and supplies them to top restaurants. An incredible afternoon and evening........more photos to come......

BUTTERBEER

Hey everyone,

Josh and Ethan visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida and got a taste of real Butterbeer!!! Harry, Ron and Herminoe love it and so does Josh and Ethan. They like it so much, they had it at their party this weekend.

I came across some other fans who tried to re-create it themselves. Looks like we had a better version at the party, but this is fun to watch..........enjoy!!

Hey everyone,

Mr. Ted and I went and saw the new Cirque show KOOZA in Philadelphia this weekend. They brought the Big Top right into the center of the city. It was sooooo cool!! I've picked a couple of videos to show you some highlights. Enjoy!!

Opening of the show. It is really cool to think that just a day or two ago, this was just a parking lot in the city. They brought everything in to do the show and will pack up to the next city to do it again.



After the show, we went had a GREAT dinner in Philly at Alma de Cuba. It's a Cuban inspired restaurant that we had never been to before. We sat up at the table on the upper right hand side of the picture. It overlooked the main dining room. Very cool.

The meal started out with a sampling of ceviches which are a form of citrus-marinated seafood salad, popular in many Latin American countries. For dinner, Shawn had Lechon Asado - crispy skin pork with oregano mojo, black bean puree and creamy yucca. Ted had Grilled Whole Bronzino - fish dish with garbanzo bean stew, tempura lemons and a South American Provencal salad. For dessert, we had tapioca pudding served in a shelled out coconut with guava date bars. Yummy!!

Christmas Countdown

Sorry we have not been posting lately. Things have been very hectic around here. Uncle Ted has been very busy and will have news to share soon. Uncle Shawn has been finishing up his night class and working on his new class at school.

MARY POPPINS

Hey everyone,

Mr. Ted and I went to New York City this weekend and saw the Mary Poppins musical. We know Emily saw it this summer so we are excited to talk to her about it.

WE LOVED IT!!!

My favorite part that I thought was totally magical was when she flew OVER THE AUDIENCE. It was very cool!!

HERSHEYPARK 2008!!

Hey kids,

Hersheypark has just announced their NEW ride for next year and it's a ROLLER COASTER!!! It's called Fahrenheit!! The first drop is 97 degrees. That's right all you math smarties. That is an inverted drop!! The first in the nation.

Hey everyone,

Well, I hope you all are rested after our fun days at Hershey!! We had so much fun. I think everyone got on a new ride at some point. Adam and Josh got on the SooperDooperLooper for the first time and loved it!! Adam got on the Comet too but said it was too rickety. Brandon got on the Great Bear for the first time and liked it enough to ride again, but the line was too long. Next year Brandon!!

I think Eric got on the Lightning Racer for the first time and liked it too. Emily's been on a lot of rides already but she was the first to go down the "toilet bowl." That was lots of fun. Some of us rode the Rodeo for the first time and the Reeses Cup Challenge too. Ethan got on a few rides so we'll wait a few years to get him on the coasters.

As always, I love the Great Bear and the Wildcat.

JUMPING SHARKS!!

Hey everyone,

This past week on the Discovery Channel was shark week. They had some incredible video of sharks jumping completely out of the water. Here are some videos of these amazing sharks in California, South Africa and Southern Australia.
