Going Goofy!

Just signed up for the Goofy's Race and a Half challenge for January 2013. Been thinking about it for a few years now. Half marathon on Saturday and full marathon on Sunday. 39.3 miles in 2 days!! Totally psyched and a little nervous at the same time. With good training this summer and fall, I'll take on the challenge!!

ADAM'S TRACK MEET

 Hey everyone,

Check out Adam at his first track meet!! He ran the 3000 meter run.  He did great, although he said he got a cramp for the last two laps.  He finished 6th overall with a time of 13:50.  Not a bad pace for 1.86 miles.  He may even run the relay next week!!  GOOD LUCK ADAM!!!


The week before,  Adam ran a 5K race that was cold and rainy and very hilly.  He did great, though.  He didn't get a personal record, but was really close.  He ran it in 25:46 and came in 2nd in his age group.

HERSHEY 10K

CHECK OUT ADAM!!! I was excited to run the Hershey 10K with him this past weekend and he did FANTASTIC!!! Just look at him go!! He was one of a very few number of young runners for this race and finished in a super time of 53 minutes 54 seconds and was 3rd in the age group of 13 and under. He sprinted past Uncle Shawn to the finish line and was ready to spend an afternoon riding the rides in the park. We're really proud of how he did and excited to run another race with him sometime soon!!

LOWE UPDATE

Lots of news to share about everyone lately!!!

Emily and her HS Poms team competed in the State Championships recently at University of MD. They did really well. The placed 2nd in High Kick, 2nd in Lyrical, 2nd in Total Package, and 5th in Short Pom. Emily also represented her school in the Spin-Off competition. She came in 2nd in the State!

WAY TO GO EMILY AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS!!! THAT'S AWESOME!!

Brandon had his first JV lacrosse game recently against Wilde Lake. They won 15-1! Pretty lopsided game, but everyone got a chance to play. Fun game to watch when you're on the winning side. He is number 24. WAY TO GO BRANDON!! Hope you guys have a great season!!

Congratulations Emily!

Emily's Poms team from school has started competing. So far, they have had 2 competitions, with 2 more in the next two weeks, and then States.

They have done very well and have qualified for States (by placing 1st or 2nd in a competition) in 3 categories so far: Short Poms, Total Package/All Around, and Lyrical. Emily is in all 3 dances.

Lots of congratulations to out to Josh recently. He had his Blue & Gold banquet where he crossed over into Boys Scouts and his basketball team won the championship. WAY TO GO JOSH!!!!!!!
