Josh attended his first Blue & Gold banquet for his cub scout troup. He has finished his Tiger cub requirements and is working towards his Bobcat. (If that is not right Josh, let me know.)
Most Cub Scouts celebrate Scouting Anniversary Week with a celebration called the blue and gold banquet. In nearly all packs, the annual blue and gold banquet, which is often the pack meeting for February, is the highlight of the year. It brings families together for an evening of fun and inspiration. The purpose of the blue and gold banquet is to celebrate the pack's anniversary, recognize pack leaders and other adults who have been instrumental in the pack's success, and inspire the leaders, Scouts, and parents. They also had the bridging ceremony where the Webelos become Boy Scouts.
The theme of the banquet was the Chinese New Year. Each boy and his dad were asked to make an edible item to represent the theme. Josh and his dad celebrated this year which is the Chinese Year of the Rat. Check out their cool cake and some of the other entries as well. He won Best NFL cake. Can you see why?!?
